Launching ChalkHouse!

Kia ora and welcome to ChalkHouse! This blog post is the first of many announcements of projects, our work in progress, social media antics and many more!

To start, we’d all like to welcome you to our brand new website! Our website development team, Caleb on web development, and Caleb, Frankie, Shay and Xander on design, have all worked hard to make sure that not only is our website a place to showcase our projects, but a place that is fun and full of character!

Next, we would like to share our current workload. We have recently finished a pitch bible for our very own Cori Wilsons ‘Water Pressure’. A fantastical, 2D animated mini series pitch. Set underwater in a once beautiful reef that has been broken up and destroyed by a mysterious entity. Our electric ray hero, Pierre, and his wise hammerhead shark mentor, Reece, embark on a journey to get to the bottom of what’s destroying their home. Our Water Pressure team have finished the pitch bible, and will go on to record the pitch to submit into the Floating Rock Pitch Festival, within the hopes of getting through the multiple stages of the competition, or to gain some recognition.

Another project we have started is Ocean Peres ‘Tūī and the Stars’. A slice of life mini series set in 2000s Aotearoa, where two sisters Marama and Tūī, find the alien baby, Star. Our team will start working on the pitch bible for this project this coming month, and will follow in the steps of Water Pressure, to submit this project’s pitch bible to the Floating Rock Pitch Festival, and possibly our local TVNZ.

On the Internet side of things, we have our social media team that will be making regular content, showing the world our current projects, behind the scenes, concepts, and funny skit comics starring our mascots, the Chalks. We will be available on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, as well of course on our very own website, where we will be making regular blog posts about anything and everything!
